YogaSoc is a club dedicated to providing swell social events and opportunities for both experienced and brand new yoga practitioners. We practice in interesting environments with awesome people.
YogaSoc was founded in 2014 with the aim of connecting the rapidly growing yoga community at UC, providing swell experiences for both beginning and advanced yogis, and getting as many people as possible to find out what this curious thing we call ‘yoga’ really is.
Consider joining if you want to surround yourself with like-minded people who motivate, entertain and inspire each other. Join if you want to bring something different to your practice, or are curious about yoga. Try it. And if you already have, try it with us!
Weekly Yoga Timetable: Each week we run one yoga classes, and one acro yoga class. They’re free/cheap.
Weekend yoga excursions: Come for a mission to a scenic spot for some food, a chat and of course some yoga. Maybe even stay the night.
Workshops: In a range of areas with a range of local and international teachers. Including Acro-yoga, meditation, yoga foundations, laughing yoga.
Teaching opportunities: We aim to support new teachers as well as practitioners. There are many opportunities for you to try out teaching, perfect your style, or even participate in a teacher training programme.
Retreats: Once a year we go away for a weekend packed full with Yoga classes and mindfulness sessions
