Entré is a not-for-profit, student-run registered company at the University of Canterbury and CPIT. Our goal is to encourage, foster and cultivate entrepreneurial spirit and innovation among university students. Whether you want to own your own business, or learn how to think like an entrepreneur, entré offers competitions (including the
Napkin Challenge and the entré Hunger Games), entré for Lunch sessions with inspirational speakers and free food, as well as events for networking with the wider business community.
Entré also runs an exciting incubator competition for start-ups called the $85K Challenge! Over the course of two terms, teams develop a business idea in the hope of winning a share of the $85,000 prize pool. Competition is fierce, but the experience is invaluable.

Entré is committed to providing students with hands-on opportunities and industry exposure – things that are not provided in the lecture theatre.
Entré also hosts “entré for lunch”, a series of business seminars designed to cover the basic knowledge essential to an entrepreneur. Presented by industry experts, each seminar provides relevant and practical knowledge for students endeavouring to enter the business world.
