ProLife Canterbury is the University of Canterbury affiliated Pro-life club. We advocate for the dignity of all human life, especially the sick, disabled, elderly, unborn and women suffering post-abortion trauma or other related PTSDs.
Our club exists to raise awareness and stimulate discussions around current social issues involving life, as well as to foster a vibrant community of engaged pro-lifers in tertiary education.
Consider joining if..
...you want to help build a culture of life on campus and promote our vision of a world where all human life is respected. Together we must take a stand to protect the children and women of our country and speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.
CAMPAIGNS Our campaigns focus on connecting with students on campus and have a strong online component so that people can learn more about the pro-life issues beyond the initial information available on campus.
SPEAKING TOURS Our speaking tours give students and the public the opportunity to hear from world experts on topical pro-life issues and an opportunity for us to connect and engage with others on important issues.
MOVIE NIGHTS We hold multiple movie nights each year, allowing our members to engage with and discuss important life issues raised in films and society’s response to these issues.
VOLUNTEERING We send volunteers out to help organisations, such as local pregnancy centres and retirement homes, to help make a positive contribution to the community.
DIGITAL OUTREACH Our website and social media channels support the work we are doing on campus, providing detailed information on life issues and keeping people and up-to-date with the latest pro-life developments.
PRO-LIFE TRAINING Through our partnership with the annual, national Activ8 Pro-Life Internship training event we enable students to head along to have in-depth formation on issues ranging from abortion, eugenics, disability, crisis pregnancy care, to euthanasia.
