The Perfect Storm is on the horizon. They said it would be a once in a lifetime event. They said it would never happen again. But the clubs have laid dormant for too long and they’re breaching the banks. Jim Hickey is frothing at the mouth in anticipation. Yes on Friday the 13th of July the largest clubs on campus will go head to head on 4 different stages. They’ll each be sussing out some of NZ’s hottest acts so we have the perfect mix of music genres.
ENSOC, UCOM, Lawsoc, Gentlemen’s Club, CUBA and Motosoc have each taken charge of their refuge shelter for the storm.

Ensoc claim you’ll be in safe hands in their life raft, which incidentally isn’t a life raft at all but actually a MAIN STAGE. Yeah buddy. Their line-up includes: Local Remedy, Jupiter Project, Tommy Ill and Savage!
UCOM and UCPSYC have realised you won’t hear shit over the thunder and lightning so have created the Silent Disco with two separate channels so at any given time you can tune in and hear from some of NZ’s hottest club DJ’s. Their line-up includes: Alby, Chuck Bass, Beat Dr C, Seth Hamilton, Lenium and Nick D.
Lawsoc and Gentlemen’s Club will be the cool kids, literally, they plan to build an Ice Bar for the finer things in life such as ice sculptures, gin, funk and soul. Their line-up includes: La Petite Manouche, Loop Soundsystem, Soul System and DJ Charlie Wilkinson.
We all know containers are brilliant as storm protection so CUBA and MOTOSOC are creating a Container Maze with safe and secure viewing decks. Within this maze you shall find a skate ramp and garage bashing music to scare away the rain. Their line-up includes: House of Party Rock, DJ Lachie Watson and Dick Magik Johnson.
