Winterlude Charity Fight Night!

Applications now open final

The Winterlude Charity Fight Night will take place at the UCSA Events Centre on the 22nd of July 2017 and applications are now open for this year’s fighters!!!

Walk out to Phil Collins blaring through the smoky haze, an entourage marching behind you and your dad’s belt strung over your shoulder. It’s just you and your opponent, 3 x 2 minute rounds of Charity Boxing awaits… Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face!

Your Charity

Boxing is the toughest and loneliest sport in the world. The only limitations are the ones you place on yourself. You’ll go places that you never have dreamed you can go… but you will be doing it all for a great cause. Last year we raised over $15,000 for a number of Charity’s focusing on issues including Cancer research and Mental Health. Test yourself and do your bit for a charity of your choosing! All fighters must raise a minimum of $500!

Training

Don’t count the days, make the days count! Prepare yourself for 8 weeks of training under the tutelage of renowned trainer Tania Barry at Round 12 Boxing. The UCSA provides 3 session per week commencing on the 29th of May. But don’t feel like you have to stop there! Boxing requires total commitment and extra training is encouraged at you own expense. Get yourself in the best shape possible!

Safety

The best coaches and trainers in Christchurch will prepare you to enter the ring! This event is affiliated to Boxing New Zealand, and each match-up will be adjudication by a professional Referee. We have on site doctors ringside and you will undertake a pre-fight medical to ensure it is safe for you to enter the ring! All fighters participate at their own risk!
