UCSA Help Volunteers
UCSA HELP volunteers operate as the first port of call for students coming in to see the Advocacy and Welfare Team. As such, you will be interviewing students in order to gain as much information about their situation as possible. You will then present this information to the Student Advocate, who will help the student find a resolution to their concern. In addition to the interviewing you will gain an understanding of the Advocacy and Welfare Teams processes, and will eventually be able to navigate appropriate courses of action for students under the guidance of the Student Advocate.
We are looking for Law, Psychology and Social Work students 3rd year and above. Volunteering for UCSA HELP can also count towards LAWS382 (‘Legal Internship’)
Applications for UCSA HELP volunteers for 2017 are now open.
You will also need to have your referee send their letter directly to this address by this date in support of your application.
