The Kiwi Access Card (formerly known as the 18+Card) can be used as evidence of age and/or photographic identification in New Zealand. It costs approximately $60 incl. GST and NZ Post estimate it will take approximately 4 weeks from the application date to receive your Kiwi Access Card.

You can download an application from their website or pick up in-store from participating AA and NZ Post locations.

No. We can only accept the approved forms of ID as listed above. It’s a law thing, not our choice!

I have lost my approved I.D. what can I do?

You must have one of the three forms of approved ID to enter our ORI’24 music events. We cannot accept any other forms of ID whatsoever, so if there’s still time, apply for a new ID. You could;

  • Apply for a Kiwi Access Card (est. 4 Weeks)

Otherwise, sorry – better luck next time!

All UC Student ticket holders must also present their current UC Student ID alongside their Age ID on arrival in order to prove that they are a current UC Student.

I managed to lose my UC Student ID. Can I still attend?

Head to UC Security and get another UC Student ID / Canterbury Card. (It will cost you $20, but you’re going to have to do it anyway!) UC Security are open 24/7, so no excuses for not getting a new one! If you turn up to the gate without one, we'll just send you over there anyway.

All ticket holders must carry valid Student ID (or Age ID for non-student ticket holders) that matches the name printed on/registered to your ticket. Any person who presents at an RE ORI ’24 event with a ticket which does not match their ID will be refused entry, and the ticket will be cancelled, without refund.

TICKETING

Where can I purchase Tickets to UCSA RE ORI’24?

Tickets are available at https://haereroa.flicket.co.nz/

Can I purchase tickets from the gate?

Gate Sales will be made available ONLY if the specific event does not sell out in advance. We recommend purchasing tickets at your earliest opportunity.

Why is my ticket not appearing in my inbox?

You will receive a ticket confirmation shortly after the successful processing of your transaction. In some cases, it may take a few minutes to appear.

To prevent unauthorised resale and scams, we do not send your actual ticket with the barcode displayed until closer to the event. You will receive notification that your event ticket is available at that time.

Please note that combo ticket holders will receive an individual ticket for EACH event.

If your payment was successfully completed and the confirmation still hasn’t appeared in your Inbox, Junk or Spam folders, please email the ticketing agent directly at support@flicket.co.nz

I've purchased a ticket on VIAGOGO, TIXEL, or another unauthorised platform. Can I verify if they are legitimate?

The only tickets we can guarantee are legitimate are those purchased directly from Flicket.

We can never guarantee the validity of a ticket that was purchased through a third-party platform, such as Tixel, Viagogo, Facebook or other marketplaces. Festival Tickets are non-transferable and any person carrying a ticket which is not in their name will be denied entry.

In some cases, the event may utilise an official resale service for the purpose of reselling tickets. Where this is used, the original tickets are cancelled and a new ticket will be issued in the name of the buyer. Any re-sale platform will only be activated once the Event is sold out and communicated to existing ticketholders at that time, though the Organiser makes no guarantee resales will be permitted now or in the future.

If you did not purchase your ticket using the Flicket platform, it is likely your ticket will not be honoured. The Organiser accepts no liability for any losses incurred as a result of the purchase of tickets from any unauthorised third-party, whether deliberate or unintentional.

I can no longer attend. Can I resell my ticket?

Can’t attend one of our RE ORI ’24 events, or you want to buy a ticket off a mate?

You MUST transfer your ticket via FLICKET, because the name on the ticket must match the name on the attendees R18 ID. That means no gifting it to a mate, or dodgy Facebook trades.

Transferring a ticket is essentially reselling your ticket. How it works:

  1. You email someone a link to repurchase your ticket.
  2. They repurchase it through our system and once they do this you will receive a refund for your ticket (minus fees).

If you do not wish to resell your ticket and just want to rename it, most of the time you will be able to do this. Please see our naming FAQs for more info.

Does the name on my Ticket need to match the name on my ID and Student ID?

All ticket holders must carry valid Student ID (or Age ID for non student ticket holders) that matches the name printed on/registered to your ticket. Any person who presents at UCSA ORI ’24 with a ticket which does not match their ID will be refused entry, and the ticket will be cancelled, without refund.

If they don’t currently match – follow the instructions here to transfer / sell / swap your ticket. This is the only way to change the name on a ticket.

Please make sure that you have entered the correct email address when completing your order or you will not receive your tickets.

What if I don’t have someone to sell my ticket to?

If the event has sold out, we will turn on the ability to sell your ticket to other people. To do this, login to your account on Flicket, click your initials, select “My Tickets”, click “View Tickets” on the ticket you want to sell, and select “Sell My Ticket”.

Please note, you can only sell your ticket for the amount you paid for it using this method. If you want to sell for less than you paid, you’ll need to find someone to sell to directly.

What is the UCSA’s policy towards harassment at events?

The UCSA holds a zero tolerance towards any forms of harassment at our events. We are committed to placing the safety of our employees, contractors, attendees and public above all else to ensure that UCSA RE ORI’24 delivers the best possible experience to start the year at UC!

Who should I talk to if I feel unsafe?

Our friendly event staff and security are always around to help! At any point if you feel unsafe, intimidated, or harassed, please make sure you let us know, by reaching out to any staff on site or if you’re after something more discreet use our number below or ask for an angel shot.

What is the “Angel Shot”?

Asking for an Angel Shot is another way of telling us staff that you’re feeling harassed whilst at UCSA RE ORI’24, and at other events throughout the year. Our event, bar and security staff know that if you ask for an Angel Shot, this means you’re distressed and need assistance. We ‘ll discreetly take you to a safe space and support you in choosing how you’d like to proceed.

Will there be a drug checking service prior to RE ORI’24 events?

As part of wider alcohol and drug harm minimisation strategies, anonymous and free drug testing will be carried out by 'Know Your Stuff', a community organisation committed to reducing drug related harm at festivals and events.

The UCSA does not condone drug use of any kind, but we are aware of the realities that exist. Because of this, we feel harm prevention methods are necessary. Although we have little control over the intent for use, Know Your Stuff and the NZ Drug Foundation provide a service which helps to provide education and information to reach the same objective.

The date and time for this service will be announced on socials soon.

CONCERTS | FAQ

What time do gates open and close?

Entry times differ for each of the major UCSA events held between RE ORI ’24. Gates open at the following time for each event:

  • CTRL ALT DELETE [360 Experience] – 8PM
  • AMPED ft. Wax Mustang & Park Rd – 8PM
  • CUBA JIB – TBC

Gates close two hours after the stated times above.

Please arrive early to avoid any potential queues and check out the support acts. We’ll have plenty of entry lines so you can enter relatively quickly.

When you are in line, please be patient – As long as you have a ticket, meet the conditions of entry*, and are in line before the closure time you will get in. (your entry will still be dependent on you passing the ID, ticket, intox checks etc.).

Am I able to leave each RE ORI ’24 music event and then return later?

No, once you leave the event that’s it. You won’t be allowed to re-enter the festival. There are strictly no ‘pass outs’.

What is the Dress Code?

Each of our RE ORI ‘24 events has a different theme! Be sure to check UCSA socials for a guide on what to wear.

The UCSA does reserve the right to ask anyone to remove (or alter) offensive costumes before they enter the venue. Having to do this is annoying for everyone involved. Do you really want to get all the way to front of the line only to be told you can't get in until you go home and change?

For example: no weapons, or anything that resembles a weapon. Nothing that includes extreme nudity and/or costumes that have 'fake nudity' inferred. Absolutely no black face, or culturally offensive costumes.

Feel free to message us to check... but if you're not sure whether you costume is offensive... yeah, it probably is.

What’s the deal with shoes?

Our major UCSA RE ORI ’24 events are 4hr + plus music festival style events, and you are going to spend a lot of time on your feet. Break out your best doof kicks and be sensible!

Bare feet, jandals, heels, Birkenstock's, and shoes without a backstrap are NOT ACCEPTABLE.

What are the other conditions of Entry?

Check out the full list of conditions of entry here.

You cannot bring your own drinks into the venue. Anyone caught attempting to bring external drinks into the venue will have them confiscated. Anyone found with contraband inside the venue will be removed from the event.

Is there a Liquor ban?

Remember there’s a Liquor Ban in effect in the Riccarton and Ilam area at all times, so don’t be wandering the streets with any beverage or you’ll have a $250 fine to deal with.

Where can I find Lost Property?

Lost property can be found at the Foundry Bar during the events, and from UC Security post event.
