DRAX PROJECT

Beginning as jazz students busking on the streets of Wellington New Zealand, Drax Project have grown into one of the most successful groups ever to come out of the country. Through their own headline tours, international festival performances and opening for the likes of Ed Sheeran, Christina Aguilera, Lorde, Brian McKnight and Camila Cabello, the band have established themselves as a 'must see' live act.

After two early EPs established their reputation in New Zealand, their self-titled debut album, made ripples around the world. To date Drax Project have collected nearly a billion streams and 34 platinum accreditations internationally. The single "Woke Up Late" ft Hailee Steinfeld achieved #24 on overall US radio charts and passed the threshold for US gold. "Catching Feelings" ft Six60 and Phony Ppl peaked at #16 in the US RnB radio charts and collaborated with Diamond certified New Jersey rapper Fetty Wap on the AUS/NZ hit "Firefly". Their second studio album ‘Upside’ (2023) reaffirmed their reputation for crafting sophisticated pop for a global audience.

Highlight US performances include the i-Heart Radio Festival, Rolling Stone Magazine's Coachella party and two sold out headline club shows in New York. Highlights in Europe include touring as headline tour support for Christina Aguilera and Camila Cabello.

Drax Project are fast approaching the significant achievement of being the first NZ band to have 10 Platinum records in Australia this millennium. Beyond ‘Woke Up Late’ and ‘Catching Feelings’, three other Drax Project songs are on track to achieve ARIA Gold status within the next 12 months.
