University of Canterbury Global Society (UCGS) is a multicultural and non-profit club that is dedicated to crafting events that foster tolerance and appreciation for diversity.  As a club, we understand all the challenges of being away from home, so we hope to bring together individuals from various backgrounds, embracing diversity in ethnicity, race, and gender, celebrating and promoting your uniqueness!

As a member, you will be ale to explore and establish partnerships to enhance your global perspective and cross-cultural competence.

We aim to provide a more welcoming experience NOT LIMITED to only international students, but also to our local KIWI students, helping each other to overcome language barriers in social situations. Exposure to and understanding different cultures helps reduce discrimination and prejudice, supporting social cohesiveness and peace.

Most of our events are open to the public; ensuring that EVERYONE in our community can experience the wonders of cultural diversity.
