University of Canterbury Iranian Society

The University of Canterbury Iranian Society (UCIS) is a vibrant student-led club dedicated to supporting Iranian students and promoting Iranian culture within the UC campus and the wider community. We celebrate key cultural events such as Nowruz and Yalda, organise social gatherings and speaker events, and provide a welcoming environment for both new and current students. Guided by UCSA and UC policies, we are committed to fostering wellbeing, inclusion, and meaningful connections. UCIS also aims to build pathways toward a broader professional Iranian network, while sharing the richness of Iranian heritage with the wider UC whānau.
