Japan Society (JSoc) is a community brought together by our shared interests in Japanese culture and language. Many of our members speak and/or are learning Japanese.
We hold events that celebrate aspects of Japanese culture in a way that is accessible to domestic, international, and exchange students here at UC, as well as to the wider community in Christchurch. Our events include weekly language exchanges that have a relaxed, social atmosphere, as well as one larger event each month. We also collaborate with other clubs at UC who share similar interests to hold events that connect our members.
