UC South Asian Fusion

Our club aims to bring together people to embrace South Asian culture (though members from all over the world are welcome to join) through a range of activities, primarily dance. We have found that the world tends to exclude South Asian culture from the label of "Asian" and we want reclaim our unique cultural identities. We often feel homesick due to our distance from home and inevitable assimilation so would like to connect with people who share this experience. We plan to do dance practises (both recreational and for performances) as well as club meetings to celebrate our cultural heritage and the festivities that come with it. We hope to create a home away from home.
