Event information

I bought a combo ticket, but I haven’t got my tickets yet?

You should receive a confirmation of your purchase via email from Eventbrite. Please note that you'll receive an individual ticket for EACH event and these will be sent at least 48 hours before the event.

Please make sure that you've entered the correct email address when completing your order or you will not receive your tickets.

I purchased a combo ticket that includes Electric Ave. What time do the buses leave and do I have to use the bus?

Combo tickets to Electric Ave are valid for entry at Haere-roa only - you'll then be taken via bus to Hagley Park in the early afternoon. Bus times will differ from when Electric Ave gates open and will be confirmed closer to the event.

For more information, check out Electric Ave FAQs.

When are individual tickets going on sale?

Individual tickets will go on sale towards the end of January.

I’m not a UC student, can I go to O.Week?

Combo tickets are for UC students only.

A limited number of public tickets are available to Summer Stein and Mardi Gras.

There are no public tickets available to The First Froth or Toga. However, you can attend as a UC student's “Plus One” by purchasing a Friends with Benefits ticket.

Can I sell my ticket if I can’t make it?

Sucks to be you. Head to tixel.co.nz to sell you ticket. You MUST sell your ticket this way. No gifting it to a mate, no dodgy Facebook trades. You must use Tixel.

I bought a combo, but I don’t want to go to one of the events. Can I sell that individual event ticket?

Yes, with the exception of Electric Avenue, you can sell those tickets. You’ll just need to wait until individual event tickets go on sale in late-January. To resell one, head to tixel.co.nz - you MUST sell your ticket this way (no gifting it to a mate, no dodgy Facebook trades).

Your ticket / student / official ID names all need to match.

If they don’t, head to tixel.co.nz to list/sell/swap your ticket.

I managed to lose my Canterbury card. Can I still attend?

Head to UC Security and get another Canterbury Card. (It will cost you $35 if you lost one, but you’re going to have to do it anyway.) UC Security are open 24/7, so no excuses for not getting a new one! If you turn up to the gate without one, we'll just send you over there ...

I'll be 17 during O.Week, what event can I go to?

For the first time ever, we have two R17 Music events, including The First Froth (13/2) and Toga (15/2). You can also go to our Comedy Night (19/2).

I’m not interested in music festivals or parties. What other events can I go to?

Check out our events calendar here for a full list of O.Week events

I bought an R17 ticket but I'm over the age of 17. What do I do?

Once you've received your event tickets, please email events@ucsa.org.nz and the R17 ones will get transferred to R18 ones. The 17-year-old age restriction is because we can't allow 16 year olds into the venue.

I want to go to Ivey Dreams but I missed out on your combo ticket. What do I do?

You can still buy a ticket directly from the good folk of LUSA.

I want to change my Frother combo ticket to the Frother + Ivy Dreams combo. What do I do?

Not a problem. You can transfer your ticket to the Frother + Ivy Dreams ticket type by following these instructions.
