The UCSA has been meeting with National and NZ First representatives over the last 2 weeks. We are saddened and frustrated that every conversation has ended with us being told there is no intention to reverse the decision to scrap fees-free.

We have been told repeatedly to wait for the Government announcement on Friday.

But this is not enough.

Regardless of the budget information released by the Government, the UCSA Executive will continue to advocate for the best possible outcome for students, which includes submissions to the Government and ongoing meetings with decision-makers to progress advocacy for student-focused outcomes.
