Send your stuff home the easy way - with Aramex

The UCSA works with mail delivery service provider, Aramex, for you to get your stuff home from now until December 18th. This service will run out of the Haere-roa reception, Level 2, Monday to Friday 10 am – 3 pm*.

A large size box - 51cm (w) x 59cm (h) x 38cm (d), ship up to 25kg for $35 South Island or $45 North Island (box included).

How it works:

1. Pick Up & Pay For Your Box: Visit UCSA Reception at Level 2, Haere-roa, with your UC Student ID to purchase your flat-pack box. You’ll also receive a shipping label with a tracking number, so make sure it stays safe and visible on the package (don’t tape over it!). By purchasing the box, you’re agreeing to our Terms & Conditions.
2. Pack It Up: Take your box home and fill it up with your items.
3. Drop It Off: Once packed, return the box to UCSA Reception Level 2 Haere-roa.
4. Track Your Shipment: You’ll get email updates once your package is on the move, including a final confirmation when it’s been delivered.

Box Dimensions and Weight

The large boxes provided are 59cm (h), 51cm (w), and 38cm (d) with a maximum weight limit of 25kg.

FAQs

1. What is included in the price?
   

   The price includes the UCSA postal box (flat pack) and freight. You are responsible for providing your own packaging materials, such as bubble wrap and tape. If you pack your box at UCSA Reception, you can buy a few strips of tape for $1.

2. How much does the service cost?
   

   Each box costs $35 to anywhere in the South Island (including rural areas) or $45 to anywhere in the North Island (including rural areas).

3. Can I send internationally?
   

   No, right now this service only offers nationwide shipping within New Zealand.

4. Is there anything I can't send in the box?
   

   You cannot send liquids, perishables (e.g., strawberries or cheese), or valuables (e.g., expensive items or sentimental items like heirlooms) are not allowed. No dangerous goods. See full list here.

5. Can I send to a PO Box or DX Box?
   

   No, delivery to PO Boxes or DX Boxes is not available.

6. What happens if my box is damaged?
   

   Damaged boxes are your responsibility and will not be sent.

7. Where is the collection point?
   

   The collection is at UCSA Reception. Pickup will be scheduled once the minimum collection quantity is reached.

8. How can I pay for the box?
   

   Payment can be made at UCSA Reception when purchasing your box, only with EFTPOS, we don't take cash.

9. What if I need tape?
   

   You can buy tape at local stores like grocery stores and dairies. We can provide a little bit of tape for an additional $1.

10. I’ve lost my shipping label or taped it over.
    

    Don’t worry! Since your details are already in our system, we can help you sort it out. But please try to keep your shipping label safe and visible!

11. My box hasn’t arrived yet.
    

    Shipping can take up to two weeks, so it may still be on its way. Be sure to check your tracking number to see the current status of your box.

12. Where can I track my box?
    

    You can track your package using this link: Track Your Parcel. You’ll receive your tracking number via email once you’ve dropped off your package at UCSA Reception and it has been collected by our courier.

13. My box never arrived—it’s lost.
    

    While this is extremely rare, we’re really sorry if it happens. We’ll do our best to help track it down. However, please note that UCSA and Aramex are not liable for lost packages, as stated in the Terms & Conditions when you purchased your box.

14. My box arrived damaged.
    

    Though unlikely, if your box arrives damaged, we sincerely apologise. Our couriers do their best to ensure safe delivery, but accidents can happen. Unfortunately, UCSA and Aramex are not liable for damaged boxes, as agreed in our Terms & Conditions.

15. Is my package insured? What value of goods can I send?
    

    UCSA and Aramex do not take any liability for loss or damage to the items you send. Your package is not insured, so we strongly recommend not sending anything valuable or sentimental, just in case it gets lost or damaged. If you do want to insure your items, you’ll need to arrange it yourself. The easiest way?
