UCSA Wellbeing Events

The UCSA Advocacy & Welfare Team, supported by the UCSA Events Team, provides 3 wellbeing events each year.

Summer Starter Expo

The UCSA Summer Starter Expo happens during Orientation. It is a free event and is all about helping students get sorted before Uni gets busy!

At the Expo, the Advocacy and Welfare team will be giving out free slices of cake, free drinks (non-alcoholic), free toothbrushes and toothpastes, and many other free items. There will be free BBQ food and easy listening music. We try to cater to all dietary needs, so we try to always have gluten free, gluten and dairy free, as well as vegan options available.

There will also be many stalls featuring both university-based and community-based support services, and many of them give out freebies as well. But that’s not all. The Interactive Farm Animals and friendly doggies with the Canine Therapy volunteers will be there too!

In short, lots on offer and plenty of free stuff! Watch out for it, and come check us out.

Winter Wellness Expo

The Winter Wellness Expo happens during Re-Orientation. It is similar to the Summer Starter Expo, but winter themed. As such, there will be hot chocolate to go with your slice of cake! We try to cater to all dietary needs, so we try to always have gluten free, gluten and dairy free, as well as vegan options available.

Again, there will be lots on offer and plenty of free stuff. And don’t forget the Interactive Farm Animals and friendly doggies!

Coffee Party

The Coffee Party is what we like to fondly call our “not-Tea-Party Tea-Party”. Unlike Tea Party where you need to buy tickets to gain entry, Coffee Party is free for all UC students to attend. You don’t need to get a ticket to attend. You only need to rock up between 10am-2pm at the venue and you can enjoy what’s available at the event.

Coffee Party is an alcohol-free event, so instead of buying alcohol, you can get free tea/coffee/hot chocolate and/or free canned soft drinks, as well as free slices of cake and other baked items. We try to cater to all dietary needs, so we try to always have gluten free, gluten and dairy free, as well as vegan options available. There is also free BBQ food you can have for lunch.

This is also the final chance you have to interact with the very cute farm animals and friendly doggies before the academic year ends. Real life Fuzzy Friday!
