Wellbeing Events

UCSA Wellbeing Events

The UCSA Advocacy & Welfare Team, supported by the UCSA Events Team, provides 3 wellbeing events each year.

Summer Starter Expo

The UCSA Summer Starter Expo happens during Orientation. This free event is all about helping you get sorted before Uni gets busy!

At the Expo, the Advocacy and Welfare team will be giving out free food and drinks (non-alcoholic), you can also pick up free hygiene items like toothbrushes & toothpastes, and mother goodies. With a free BBQ food and easy listening music. We try to cater to all dietary needs, so we try to always have gluten free, gluten and dairy free, as well as vegan options available.

There will also be many stalls featuring both university-based and community-based support services, and many of them give out freebies as well. But that’s not all. We often have cuddly farm animals and friendly therapy too!

In short, lots on offer and plenty of free stuff! Watch out for it, and come check us out.

Winter Wellness Expo

The Winter Wellness Expo happens after Re-Orientation in early Semester 2 at UC. It is pretty similar to our Summer Starter Expo, but winter themed. We try to cater to all dietary needs, so we try to always have gluten free, gluten and dairy free, as well as vegan options available.

Again, there will be lots on offer and plenty of free stuff. And don't forget about having some cute farm animals around on the day too!

Coffee Party

Coffee Party is free for all UC students to attend and non-tciketed. Show up anytime between 10am-2pm at Haere-roa and you can enjoy everything available at the event.

Coffee Party is an alcohol-free event, so grab a free tea/coffee/hot chocand/or free canned soft drinks, as well as free slices of cake and other baked items. We try to cater to all dietary needs, so we try to always have gluten free, gluten and dairy free, as well as vegan options available. There is also free BBQ food you can have for lunch.

This is also the last chance of the year where you can come visit the very cute farm animals and friendly dogs before the academic year ends.
