Salam and kia ora koutou,
The UCSA is aware of the protests currently taking place in Iran and around the world regarding the murder of Mahsa Amini for violating rules around wearing the hijab. This has now tragically resulted in the death of many other protestors. Women’s rights are human rights, and we stand with the women and people around the world fighting to express themselves and affirm their rights. We know that these events may be distressing for anyone who identifies with this region or the issues at stake. Whatever you are feeling is valid; we want you to know that we are here for you and support you. Here are a few key services available on campus that may be able to help should you need it.
