The purpose of this document is to provide clear guidelines for the UCSA Advocacy & Welfare team to administer financial assistance to University of Canterbury students through the Dr Mickle Fund Grant. This Grant aims to retain committed students who would be unable to continue their studies at the University of Canterbury, or seriously disadvantaged in doing so, due to financial hardship and circumstances beyond their control. The Dr Mickle Fund Grant provides temporary financial assistance to enrolled UC students, and is not meant to provide long-term ongoing financial assistance. This Grant is funded by the Doctor AFJ Mickle Student Loan Fund.
